Job Description:


As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our customers. Key Responsibilities:


• Assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, under direct supervision, in accordance with state and federal regulations.


• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.


• Assist with and coach pharmacy technicians in the operation of pharmacy systems and cashiers in the operation of the pharmacy cash registers.


• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, engaging customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.


• Develop strong relationships with most valuable customers and maintain a clean, neat, and orderly pharmacy department.


• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including those related to pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program.


• Participate in training and development opportunities to maintain knowledge and skills in healthcare and pharmacy, including the latest news and developments.


• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated PTCB training program and/or state required certification/registration.


• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance, ensuring the pharmacy department is stocked with adequate supplies and is clean, neat, and orderly in condition and appearance.


• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.


Requirements:


• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.


• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.


• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.


• Prefer good math skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications.


• Prefer good computer skills and knowledge of store inventory control.


• Prefer PTCB certification.
