Position Overview:

The Insulation Supervisor oversees the direct supervision of craft personnel, engaging in hands-on construction trades work as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion and exemplify Brock's Bsafe and Bbest culture across all business facets.
  • Conduct pre-job safety assessments (Job Hazard Analysis) for each task and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Facilitate regular crew meetings to promote safety and efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to all Brock, contractor, and regulatory safety standards.
  • Comprehend contract scope and manage the change order process effectively.
  • Prevent unauthorized work outside the contract scope without an approved change order.
  • Guarantee that all work aligns with client specifications.
  • Oversee the loading, unloading, and storage of materials and equipment at the worksite.
  • Verify that all equipment on-site is maintained in safe and efficient working order.
  • Responsible for the proper handling and maintenance of all Brock and client facilities and equipment.
  • Conduct Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) inspections and documentation.
  • Order necessary equipment and supplies, ensuring the correct tools are utilized for designated tasks.
  • Estimate material and labor needs for job completion.
  • Delegate tasks to team members.
  • Maintain accurate time records and ensure proper reporting of man-hours, materials, and quantities.
  • Propose and initiate personnel actions, including promotions and transfers.
  • Address and resolve personnel matters.
  • Inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to ensure safety and compliance with specifications.
  • Ensure team members are proficient in Brock's best practices.
  • Recommend improvements to enhance production methods and equipment performance for increased efficiency and safety.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
  • Must meet Brock's Fit For Duty Program standards.
  • Ability to fulfill customer requirements for site access.
  • Work in diverse environments, including indoor and outdoor settings.
  • Use of necessary Personal Protective Equipment is mandatory.
  • Travel may be required.
  • Work at heights is necessary.
  • Adaptability to extreme temperatures is essential.
  • Capability to work in confined spaces.
  • Possession of required tools is necessary.
  • Reliable transportation to the work location is required.

Skills & Abilities:
  • Effective communication skills with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting specifications, including blueprints.

Education & Experience:
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in craft work.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
