Experienced Manager/Director, Global Transaction Tax

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Professional to join our Global Transaction Tax Practice at Alvarez & Marsal. As a member of our team, you will work closely with experienced partners and senior directors to provide expert advice on complex international tax matters.
Key Responsibilities- Perform due diligence on potential tax risks and opportunities, including review of financial models and tax documentation.
- Provide expert advice on US international tax implications of deal structures, including financing arrangements and treaty implications.
- Assist with the design and implementation of comprehensive global tax restructurings and planning.
- Stay up-to-date with developments in US international tax and contribute to thought leadership initiatives.
- Build relationships with clients and across Tax and the rest of the organization.
- CPA, JD (with bachelor's degree in accounting, preferred), or LLM required.
- At least 6 years of relevant experience in a mergers & acquisitions tax practice at a Big 4 firm, Big Law firm, or similar firm, and at least 3+ years of experience in US international tax.
- Strong writing, analytical, research, Excel, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication, presentation, project management, and business development skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, time-sensitive environment.
As a Tax Professional at Alvarez & Marsal, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of experts and contribute to the growth and success of our organization. We offer a competitive salary range of $139,000 - $200,000 annually, dependent on several variables, including education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, we offer a discretionary bonus program based on individual and firm performance.
