Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Health and Safety Co-Op to join our team at Precision Castparts Corp. As an EHS Co-Op, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects related to environmental health and safety, including process improvements, product design, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply principles of process improvements, product design, and compliance to EHS functions
  • Work with production hourly workforce to address day-to-day safety concerns
  • Develop and improve material handling issues throughout the facility
  • Collaborate with outside vendors and consultants to eliminate injuries
  • Investigate facility accidents and injuries to develop corrective actions
  • Help implement periodic inspections for hazardous waste, chemical use, and PPE use
  • Attend training sessions and other educational opportunities
  • Review and analyze PPE requirements for various departments and process-related functions
  • Perform job risk analysis for various processes and tasks
  • Perform new hire safety training and orientation
Requirements
  • Full-time student pursuing Bachelor's degree in EHS or another engineering field with an interest in safety
  • Preferred knowledge of EHS engineering practices, IH sampling, regulatory compliance for OSHA, EPA, Hazardous Waste, and NFPA
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Good writing skills and interpersonal skills
