Chevron is currently seeking applications for the role of Process Operations Intern. This internship offers a unique opportunity to engage in the operations at our refinery, where you will collaborate with a team responsible for processing and managing equipment involved in the transformation of crude oil into valuable products such as gasoline and jet fuel.

As an intern, you will have the chance to work closely with various departments to support the efficient refinement of a significant volume of crude oil. This internship is designed to last approximately 12 weeks and aims to provide you with hands-on experience in a dynamic environment. A successful internship may lead to further opportunities within the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in adhering to Health, Environment, and Safety protocols while executing daily tasks in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Perform duties with a strong focus on environmental stewardship and safety, following established operational excellence practices.
  • Collaborate with your Mentor and local Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to enhance your training and skills. Take initiative in your personal development and actively seek constructive feedback.
  • Exhibit a commitment to integrity, accountability, and reliability, while maintaining a positive attitude in the workplace.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  • Graduation date must fall between May 2022 and September 2024, with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Process Operations Technology or a related field.
  • Proof of degree or current enrollment must be provided in the application profile.
  • Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0.
  • Willingness to work on weekends and holidays as per the assigned schedule.
  • Ability to successfully undergo drug and alcohol screening, background checks, and physical examinations.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and wearing personal protective equipment.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Completion of a Process Operations Technology Program from an accredited institution.
  • Military experience is valued, and veterans are encouraged to apply.
  • Understanding of safety and environmental reliability practices.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office applications and a willingness to learn new software.
  • Ability to work effectively within a diverse team environment.
  • GPA above 3.0 is preferred.
