Job Summary

We are seeking a Part-Time Sales Associate to join our team at The Salvation Army USA Central Territory. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to our shoppers and donors, maintaining a clean and well-organized work and shopping experience, and adhering to all Salvation Army money handling procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide a professional and friendly demeanor to our customers, greeting them and offering assistance as needed.
  • Cash Handling: Accurately manage personal cash drawer, opening, closing, and balancing, adhering to all Salvation Army money handling procedures.
  • Point of Sales System: Work to understand the Point of Sales system and complete sales effectively, with proficiency obtained within 3 months of employment.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean work environment at the cash register and throughout the store, including cleaning, straightening, hanging, and restocking as needed.
  • Inventory Management: Keep the floor stocked and put new merchandise out, working to meet production goals for the store each day as needed.
  • Scheduling: Be available for a flexible schedule, including evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and customer service skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and be able to maintain a professional appearance at all times.
