Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care under the guidance of a registered nurse or physician.
  • Engage in patient and family-centered care practices.
  • Implement established standards and guidelines for care delivery.
  • Collaborate with materials management to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Support patient education and assist with discharge planning.
  • Ensure proper stabilization and immobilization of patients as necessary.
  • Collect specimens in accordance with facility protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited LPN program.
  • Preferred: One year of experience in an emergency department setting.
  • Must be eligible for LPN licensure in Virginia.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
