Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Delivery Specialist to join our team at UPMC - Pittsburgh Medical Center. This role involves delivering pharmaceuticals, supplies, and equipment to patients in a timely and safe manner.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work rotating afternoon and evening shifts, as well as rotating weekend shifts. Key responsibilities include coordinating and delivering products accurately, assisting pharmacists with technical and clerical duties, and handling customer complaints in a fair and empathetic manner.

Responsibilities
  • Collect patient signatures on required forms.
  • Organize and file pharmacy documentation as needed.
  • Respond to customer concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient delivery operations.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by anticipating needs and providing excellent service.
  • Deliver pharmaceuticals, supplies, and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Promote a positive company culture by providing quality services to customers through teamwork.
  • Complete daily logs in a timely fashion.
  • Assist in preparing packing lists and delivery tickets.
  • Ensure accurate completion of packing lists and delivery tickets for reimbursement purposes.
  • Support order preparation and delivery.
  • Perform various tasks such as shipping, receiving, and warehouse maintenance.
  • Work cooperatively with colleagues to plan and organize operations services.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
  • Contribute to maintaining productivity while working effectively.
  • Ensure vehicle is clean and organized; report mechanical issues to manager.
  • Pick up sharps containers and dispose of biohazards properly.
  • Pick up excess supplies and equipment when patients are off service; process returns according to policy.
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Document directions to patients' homes and maintain accurate files.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Licenses, Certifications, and Clearances:
  • Valid driver's license.
