  • Meat Preparation: Cut meats to customer requests, offer product samples, and inform customers of meat specials.
  • Inventory Management: Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise, and report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
  • Food Safety: Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines, maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers, and ensure temperature logs are up-to-date.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with the department manager and other team members to achieve sales and profit goals, and reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures.
Requirements
  • Meat Experience: Previous experience in a meat department or related field is preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills are essential for providing excellent customer service and working with the team.
  • Math Skills: Basic math skills are required for handling cash and operating a cash register.
  • Food Handlers Permit: A current food handlers permit is required once employed.
  • Knife Handling Skills: Possess adequate knife handling skills and knife speed.
