Job Title: Engineering Technician II

Are you ready to launch your career in a dynamic environment? Range Generation Next LLC is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Engineering Technician II to join our team at the World's Premier Gateway to Space.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented individual to provide operation and sustainment of mission-critical systems that launch and track Department of Defense, civil, commercial, and international space launch rockets. As an Engineering Technician II, you will be responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and publishing ALTAIR operations & maintenance activities weekly, operating the ALTAIR instrumentation, and interfacing with other departments to coordinate radar activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule ALTAIR operations & maintenance activities weekly
  • Operate the ALTAIR instrumentation to perform various duties, including calibrations, metric tracks, range test operations, and mission support
  • Interface with other departments to coordinate radar activities
  • Primary Point of Contact (POC) for the ALTAIR secure area
  • Primary POC for equipment calibration activities; coordinate with Calibration Lab to send/receive test equipment that requires routine calibration
  • Perform duties as required of the property custodian for certain property accounts
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance procedures and run system diagnostic software
  • Provide administrative support to receiver, transmitter, and antenna teams
  • Assist with voice communications systems, networks, power, and facilities
  • Support customers by preparing systems for mission execution and operations
  • Provide occasional weekend coverage for transmitter operations as well as occasional odd shifts (early morning or late night) to support mission requirements

Requirements:

  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively with considerable latitude but also follow established processes and procedures
  • Ability to follow Company safety policies, procedures, and programs
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team with a common goal
  • Good oral and written communication

Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree or technical school in electronics, IT, or related field, or experience in lieu of education
  • Two (2) years of technical experience working with technical systems such as avionics, communications, radars, or control systems
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite tools (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Experience with building and/or terminating cables such as BNC, N type RF cables, semi-rigid coax, Heliax coax, and soldering desired
  • Working knowledge of MATLAB, MAXIMO, and LINUX computer systems desired

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

  • Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship
  • Must be able to relocate to the United States Army Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. passport
  • This position is unaccompanied and will reside on the island of Roi-Namur
  • The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support projects or mission requirements
