Job Summary:

As a Casual Registered Nurse with the CVU, you will be a key member of our care delivery team, setting high standards for patient care. You will have the responsibility, authority, and accountability to provide top-notch nursing care, managing patient care activities with independent judgment and collaboration with the entire team.

Responsibilities:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience required.
  • BSN preferred.

  • Handle multiple and changing priorities and specialized equipment.

  • Mobility and visual manual dexterity.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
  • UPMC approved national certification preferred.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse.
  • CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
