Key Responsibilities

The technician will be responsible for:

  • Conducting troubleshooting and repairs on various system components, including DC and low voltage AC circuits.
  • Executing preventive maintenance tasks, including thermographic inspections of electrical equipment.
  • Auditing third-party systems for safety and quality assurance.
  • Overseeing contracted workers during maintenance and repair activities.
  • Maintaining accurate records of time, materials, and maintenance activities in our computerized management system.
  • Preparing detailed reports on maintenance activities for site management.
  • Participating in ongoing training and skill development.
Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • A solid understanding of electrical systems and solar technology.
  • Experience in building and structural construction methods.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Preferred qualifications include journeyman status or licensure as an industrial electrician, and certification in inverter training.
Education and Experience

Applicants should have:

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical wiring and construction practices.
  • Technical or engineering education related to energy systems is a plus.
  • Familiarity with metering and testing equipment.
Physical Requirements

The role requires:

  • The ability to work in outdoor environments and navigate construction sites.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Capability to operate equipment like ladders and lifts.
Work Environment

This position involves both office and fieldwork, exposing the technician to various environmental conditions, including potential electrical hazards and weather elements.
