Media Relations Coordinator

Job Summary

The Media Relations Coordinator will serve as the primary liaison between the media, student-athletes, and coaches for multiple sports. This role will assist the Associate AD, Media Relations with men's basketball coverage and provide support to the full-time media relations staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary media relations contact for assigned sports, facilitating communication between the media, student-athletes, and coaches.
  • Develop and disseminate press releases, create game notes and gameday materials, and oversee social media content production.
  • Compile statistics, maintain historical records, and attend home events.
  • Assist the Associate AD, Media Relations with men's basketball coverage, including game-day operations and media relations.
  • Support the full-time media relations staff with day-to-day duties, including but not limited to, writing and disseminating press releases, creating game notes and gameday materials, and overseeing social media content production.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Must meet GRE/GMAT requirements for the relevant graduate school.
  • Experience in using Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, etc...) is preferred.
  • Prior experience working in media relations as a student assistant is preferred.
  • Must have a valid US driver's license.
