Position Overview:
As the Events and Banquet Operations Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in managing the comprehensive operations of our banquet and event services.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:

  • Oversee the seamless execution of all food and beverage services, including setup, breakdown, and presentation of various functions such as conferences, special occasions, festivals, and meal services, ensuring adherence to the Banquet Event Order (BEO) and maximizing guest satisfaction and profitability.
  • Recruit, train, and schedule banquet and event personnel to ensure exceptional service delivery and professionalism, while providing continuous feedback and coaching to maintain high performance standards.
  • Act as a liaison between banquet operations and other departments to enhance operational efficiency and meet guest expectations.
  • Be readily available to assist staff and clients in resolving any issues or conflicts, thereby optimizing guest satisfaction.
  • Supervise the upkeep and maintenance of equipment and event facilities to ensure they are functional, presentable, and clean.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations regarding the management of alcoholic beverages.
  • Maintain adherence to all company policies and procedures related to human resources, payroll, purchasing, and accounting to ensure ethical and consistent operations.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess:

  • Previous experience in banquet or event management.
  • A minimum age of 21 years.
  • Required certifications such as Food Handler Permit and Tips Certification.
  • Strong understanding of group business dynamics, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Knowledge of banquet service principles and safety protocols in the hospitality industry.
  • Proficiency in basic office equipment and software related to hotel management, payroll, and catering.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with guests and staff.
  • Ability to handle sensitive guest information in compliance with privacy regulations.

Work Schedule:
Shifts may vary, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on business needs.

Working Conditions:
This position may involve working under pressure due to high business volumes and deadlines, with potential exposure to various weather conditions. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, transport event equipment, and stand or walk for extended periods.
