A Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) is a clinical laboratory scientist who performs clinical laboratory procedures and examinations pursuant to established and approved protocols of the Department of Health.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including blood banking, coagulation, and microbiology. They will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and reports, and for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, the candidate must have a strong background in medical laboratory technology, including a degree in medical technology or a related field. They must also have a valid NYS license and be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Additionally, they must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to adapt to changing workload and stressful situations.
