Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise a team of forensic scientists and analysts in the DNA analysis section.
  • Oversee the receipt, analysis, and reporting of DNA evidence in support of criminal investigations.
  • Develop and implement quality control and quality assurance procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders to provide expert testimony and support in the analysis of DNA evidence.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and advancements in DNA analysis and forensic science.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field such as forensic science, biology, or chemistry.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a forensic laboratory, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of DNA analysis and forensic science principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with DNA analysis software and equipment.
  • Knowledge of quality control and quality assurance procedures in a forensic laboratory setting.
  • Experience with expert testimony and court proceedings.
Working Conditions

The selected candidate will be required to work in a laboratory setting and may be required to travel to testify in court or attend training and conferences.
