Nutrition Specialist

Clinical Nutritionists at Gateway Community Health Center play a vital role in developing and implementing dietary care plans to promote good health and prevent/manage disease. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in nutrition, health sciences, or a related field, as well as three years of experience in nutritional education and disease management teaching/counseling. Additional requirements include active affiliation with dietetic networks and organizations, a current BLS certificate, and bilingual skills in English and Spanish.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate individual nutritional needs and develop personalized care plans.
- Provide one-on-one and group nutrition counseling to patients and their families.
- Consult with physicians and healthcare personnel to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions.
- Develop policies for disease management programs to assist in health promotion and disease control.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and records.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in nutrition, health sciences, or related field.
- Three years of experience in nutritional education and disease management teaching/counseling.
- Active affiliation with dietetic networks and organizations.
- Current BLS certificate.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred).
