We are seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst to join our Collection Systems team at the J. Paul Getty Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise for our library systems, including Alma, ILLiad, and Springshare. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the smooth operation of these systems, resolving application issues, and collaborating with staff to optimize system configurations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support for Alma, ILLiad, and Springshare, including troubleshooting and resolving application issues
- Collaborate with staff to optimize system configurations and workflows
- Conduct research on best practices and emerging technologies related to library systems
- Develop and maintain documentation for library systems and processes
- Work closely with the Product Manager, Library & Archival Systems to ensure alignment with departmental goals and objectives
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- 0-2 years of experience with IT systems, preferably in the academic or cultural heritage domains
- Knowledge of current and emerging library technologies, metadata standards, and workflows
- Experience with HTML, CSS, XML, and XSLT, with proficiency in Python and APIs
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
