About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Development Representative to join our team in Tampa, FL. As a Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for driving sales growth by sourcing, contacting, educating, and qualifying prospects via phone, email, and social channels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospecting and Generation of Sales Opportunities: Identify and develop sales-ready opportunities by actively engaging in self-prospecting and generating leads through research and outreach.
  • High-Volume Outbound Cold Calling: Effectively communicate Ottimate's value proposition to potential prospects.
  • Prospect Engagement: Foster relationships with a diverse range of prospects, from Directors to C-Suite Executives, within the United States.
  • Prospect Research: Conduct thorough research to navigate and identify key contacts and stakeholders within prospect organizations.
  • Effective Communication: Clearly articulate Ottimate's unique value proposition and differentiators through cold calls, personalized emails, and LinkedIn prospecting.
  • Account Nurturing: Nurture accounts throughout the prospect lifecycle, ensuring they are ready to engage further.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Account Executives to strategically manage outreach to target accounts.
  • Data Management: Utilize Salesforce to maintain accurate contact information and ensure data integrity.
  • Product Knowledge: Acquire in-depth knowledge of prospective customers' pain points and how Ottimate's product addresses them.
  • Continuous Improvement: Work collaboratively with the broader sales team to continually improve individually and as a team.
  • Market Awareness: Stay current on Ottimate's platform, competitive landscape, and market trends.
Requirements
  • Located in or around the Tampa Bay area with the ability to work in-person 5 days per week.
  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • Up to 2 years professional experience (ideally in a customer-facing or quota-carrying role)
  • Inherently curious with strong desire to learn and advance in a sales career; embraces coaching, feedback, and learning opportunities.
  • Relentless drive and accountability to achieve and exceed goals and expectations
  • Excellent sales instinct with an ability to identify opportunities and resolve roadblocks
  • Engaging phone presence; astute listener and effective communicator with an inherent ability to interact, engage, build relationships, and communicate with individuals at all organizational levels
  • Articulate written communicator who can convey complex ideas simply and write engaging emails to prospects
  • Adaptable to changing internal and external environments and evolving strategy
  • Highly organized; manages time effectively and works independently in a fast-paced startup environment
