Job Overview

The Solutions Architect is a key member of the new client acquisition team and plays a vital role in driving new revenue opportunities through direct interaction with prospective clients. The ideal candidate will assist the Thrive Sales organization in identifying business and technical challenges, building consultative solution-based designs, and proposing suitable solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Thrive Sales team to lead technical presales discussions and activities with prospective clients, acting as a Technical and Trusted Advisor to identify their needs and propose relevant Thrive products and services.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and guidance related to Private, Public, and Hybrid Cloud, Cyber Security, Disaster Recovery, networking, and IT management to the Thrive Sales team and prospective clients.
  • Create technical documentation, diagrams, client-facing technical presentations, Statements of Work, and provide technical responses for RFP/RFI's.
  • Participate in customer-focused seminars, tradeshows, events, presentations, technology roadmap reviews, and training.
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and products, including attaining certifications and participation in vendor/industry training events as necessary.
  • Interface with internal teams to improve our products and services, providing input to enhance value for our clients.
  • Provide ongoing product and technology training to the Thrive direct sales organization and channel partners.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience working at a Managed Service Provider in a Solutions Architect or comparable client-facing technical role, with previous experience in an IT Operations role being desirable.
  • Technical knowledge of Microsoft / Office 365, Microsoft Azure, Cyber Security platforms and technologies, server virtualization, storage, LAN and WAN networking, data backup and replication technologies.
  • Technical and/or Security Certifications (CCNA, CISM, CISSP, MCSE, VTSP, etc.) are a plus.
  • Experience presenting complex technical topics to both technical and business audiences.

Estimated salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year based on industry standards and location.
