Dietitian II

Venice Family Clinic is a leading healthcare provider dedicated to delivering comprehensive and high-quality care to individuals in need, regardless of their income, insurance, or immigration status.

With a team of over 500 staff members, we serve 45,000 people across a vast area, spanning from the Santa Monica Mountains to the South Bay.

We operate a network of clinics, Early Head Start centers, and mobile clinics, as well as an extensive street medicine program to reach vulnerable populations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert guidance in Child Nutrition, adhering to Head Start Performance Standards, and prenatal nutrition.
• Consult with families and staff on best practices in breastfeeding, infant and toddler nutrition, prenatal, and family nutrition.
• Collaborate with the Head Services Manager to ensure compliance with meal service regulations, trainings for parents and staff, and meeting federal guidelines.

This role will also involve working at our other locations in Santa Monica and Hawthorne, approximately 1-2 days per week.

Requirements:

• Registered Dietitian status with the American Dietetic Association.
• Knowledge of CACFP and Head Start Regulations.
• Ability to recognize problem areas in health, nutrition, and development.
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills to maintain effective working relationships.
• Ability to exercise professional judgment in decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual in Spanish.
• Experience working with Early Head Start or similar programs serving young children.
• Ability and willingness to travel to our other locations within LA County.
