Key Competencies:

Role Overview:

The IT Asset & Configuration Management Analyst will play a crucial role in overseeing hardware technology assets within the Asset Management Database (AMDB) and configuration items (CIs) in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB). This individual will be responsible for conducting data analysis and updates to facilitate the effective management of digital technology assets and CIs, whether they are owned and managed by Digital IT, third-party service providers, or the client's business units.

The Analyst will support the ITAM & Configuration Management Programs by executing daily operations related to enterprise asset repository management, asset reconciliation, exception identification, data analysis, and generating reports for assets in the AMDB and CIs in the CMDB. Responsibilities will also include managing AMDB and CMDB incident tickets and service requests in accordance with established SLAs, engaging stakeholders across various process areas, and promoting the adoption of each process.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and validate AMDB and CMDB
  • Monitor asset and CI inventories based on operational directives
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Coordinate remediation efforts for identified variances
  • Ensure adherence to ITAM and Configuration Management processes
  • Prepare reports and metrics for stakeholders and leadership
  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Support the ITAM and Configuration Management Lead in routine activities
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of policies and standards
  • Facilitate training and knowledge sharing within the team
  • Perform additional ITAM and Configuration Management duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • Experience with asset and configuration management tools
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
  • Solid understanding of IT Hardware Asset Management lifecycle and best practices
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT Asset Management and/or Configuration Management
  • Preferred 5 years of experience in the field
  • Preferred certifications: Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP) and/or ITIL
  • Strong team collaboration skills
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication skills for presenting information
  • Ability to document processes accurately and clearly
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently
  • Excellent written communication skills
