Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Project Manager and Master Scheduler will collaborate with the Senior Program Manager and Government entities by overseeing and directing projects, as well as developing, updating, and monitoring IT project timelines for various initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the Senior Project Manager and Master Scheduler, responsible for orchestrating projects, formulating plans, timelines, and monitoring financials to fulfill objectives. Additionally, provide mentorship and support to junior project managers.
  • Deliver IT project management assistance to Headquarters, ensuring adherence to essential standards set by the Program Management Institute (PMI) and implementing strategic initiatives.
  • Oversee intricate program plans and schedules, offering technical guidance on critical paths and establishing milestone achievements.
  • Collaborate with the Project Management Branch on schedule adjustments and coordinate efforts across various teams, making recommendations for lifecycle management processes.
  • Manage a variety of IT projects, which may include extensive Military Construction (MILCON) projects, IT enterprise services, networking initiatives, software and hardware upgrades, military compound IT planning, and IT support for military operations.
  • Prepare documentation, presentations for briefings, reports, and conduct analyses as required.
  • Travel may be necessary for both domestic and international assignments.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of six years of IT project management experience with a master’s degree or eight years with a bachelor’s degree.
  • Proficiency in MS Projects and schedule development.
  • Experience within military environments is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Possession of Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) is required.
  • Additional certifications in ITIL, ITSM, Agile, SCRUM, Structured Cabling, Network, or Systems (RCDD) are advantageous.
  • Security Clearance: TS/SCI is mandatory.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong understanding of business and project planning, including goal setting, milestones, and project tracking.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple project deadlines efficiently.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Capability to consistently make informed decisions based on analysis and experience.
