Key Responsibilities:
  • Enforce Company policies with Superintendents.
  • Communicate with Director of Operations as requested to ensure timeliness of project and attend meetings as necessary with Operations and Client.
  • Assist in the selection and development of field personnel.
  • Support the planning and estimating staff by assisting in the development of customer proposals.
  • Oversee the enforcement of all Safety, Company, and Client policies and procedures.
  • Focus on completing projects in a quality manner showing the Company's overall commitment to high standards.
  • Manage costs for each project.
  • Manage multiple projects, tasks, and resources.
  • Continually evaluate the use of full-time and project-based personnel.
  • Demonstrate excellent relational skills with customer, sub-contractors, and internal teams.
  • Pursue the use of new methods and technologies in an effort to shorten schedules and increase profits without sacrificing quality standards.
  • Hold daily 'tail-gate' safety meetings at the beginning of each shift.
  • Follow all Company Safety, Quality Control/Quality Assurance procedures and OSHA guidelines.
  • Understand and articulate mechanical concepts (i.e. drawings).
  • See, read, write, and understand communication including directions, instructions, and warning signs.
  • Maintain poise and focus under time constraint.
  • Attend and complete trainings as required by the Company and client.
  • Pass all required drug/alcohol testing and background requirements.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 7 years of managerial experience and at least 5 years of supervisory experience in related industry.
  • Class 'A' driver's license and a clean MVR.
  • First Aid and CPR trained.
Work Environment:

This job operates in a petrochemical/refinery environment. Exposure to cold working conditions during winter months and hot working conditions during the summer months. Exposure to noise, workers must wear protecting hearing equipment or frequently shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level. In an emergency situation, exposure to hazardous chemicals may occur and the use of a respirator is required. All employees will be required to be fit tested for the various respirators used as well as the ability to successfully pass a pulmonary function test (PFT).

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The position of a Project Manager can be extremely physical at times. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend the body downward and forward by bending the spine at the waist, using the lower extremities and back muscles and moving on foot, particularly for long distances. Must be able to bend, stoop, walk, climb, squat, reach, kneel, push/pull, stand, sit, and lift more than 50 pounds.

Travel:

Travel is expected. Extensive travel throughout U.S. and overnight stay for extended periods of time.
