Position Overview:

This role involves providing design and drafting expertise for structural systems within the industrial sector. The candidate may also assist with mechanical systems as required. Proficiency in AutoCAD software is essential.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Utilize CAD workstations, plotters, printers, and related equipment to facilitate the creation of designs for industrial sector projects, including water, wastewater, process control, and material handling.
  • Assist in the development of structural and mechanical/piping drawings, encompassing steel structures, concrete foundations, equipment layouts, plumbing, process piping, and HVAC systems.
  • Contribute to preliminary layouts for initial design and sizing, progressing through the project lifecycle to complete Issue for Construction drawings.
  • In multi-discipline projects, coordinate efforts with other design specialists to deliver comprehensive Issue for Construction drawing packages.
  • Adhere to Tetra Tech's QA/QC standards throughout the design process.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Proficient in preparing plans, profiles, and detailed drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Experience in a consulting environment is necessary.
  • Familiarity with Excel for equipment schedule preparation is essential.
  • Must be an independent thinker capable of undertaking design assignments with minimal guidance.
  • The role involves regular lifting/moving of up to 25 pounds, with occasional lifting/moving of up to 50 pounds.
  • A pre-employment drug screening in accordance with state regulations is mandatory.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
