About the RoleThis is a challenging and rewarding position that requires a strong foundation in nursing principles and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. As an LPN on our Hematology-Oncology Unit, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to adult patients receiving chemotherapy, targeted cancer therapies, and other treatments.
Responsibilities- Collect, document, and report patient data and care plans as directed by an RN.
- Administer medications and/or treatments authorized by a provider and observe patients for adverse reactions.
- Perform routine laboratory tests.
- Educate patients and family members.
- Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program.
- Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- One year of patient care experience.
This role requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good eye-hand coordination, and extensive standing and walking. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Personal Protective EquipmentFollows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
