Job Summary:


We are seeking a dedicated and supportive individual to join our team as a Teacher Assistant for our Title I program. In this role, you will assist teachers in managing student arrival and departure times, provide support with administrative tasks, and help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment.


About the Job:



  • The ideal candidate will have at least six months of experience working in an educational setting or completion of a specific training program for teacher assistants
  • Demonstrated initiative and flexibility to cope with the challenges of a rapidly changing world is required
  • A willingness to remain current with the latest developments in education and child growth/development is also essential

Key Responsibilities:



  • Assist teachers with management of student arrival and departure times
  • Provide support with administrative tasks such as copying, organizing, and filing materials
  • Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment
  • Tutor students individually or in small groups to reinforce and follow-up learning activities
  • Participate in staff-development training programs to improve job performance

Requirements:



  • A high school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or 48 college credit hours or pass an academic assessment
  • A valid Texas educational aide certificate
  • Experience working in an educational setting or completion of a specific training program for teacher assistants
