Under the direct oversight of the CFO, the Grants and Accounting Supervisor plays a crucial role in organizing and maintaining financial documentation related to budgeting, financial auditing, and reporting for the organization and designated grants.

The Grants and Accounting Supervisor advises on and implements financial systems to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and acts as a financial consultant to the executive management team.

This position reports directly to the CFO and requires onsite presence.

Training Period:
You will be expected to undergo training onsite for the initial 90 days of employment.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Administrative Duties:
Maintain organized financial records and perform general office support such as filing and other administrative tasks.
Record accounts payable transactions in the general ledger.
Classify journal entries accurately.
Prepare and process payroll information for all departments.
Purchase approved supply requests.
Print checks for signatures and distribute them accordingly.
Process purchase orders for necessary supplies.
Verify receipts for purchased items.
Assist in preparing for the annual audit.
Apply accounting principles, regulations, and policies diligently.
Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
Assist with invoice processing.
Allocate expenditures to the correct accounts following departmental procedures.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Accounting-Specific Duties:
Review and reconcile daily cash receipts against bank deposits.
Review and reconcile cash receipts with gift entries, posting gift entries to the general ledger.
Act as the primary contact for payroll-related inquiries and assistance for staff and payroll services.
Review payroll for accuracy prior to submission to the CFO for approval.
Prepare bi-monthly payroll journal entries with appropriate allocations.
