Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the recruitment, selection, and hiring process for all County positions.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health, life, dental, vision, and other benefits.
  • Oversee the performance evaluation system and ensure that all employees receive regular feedback and coaching.
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement training programs and staff development initiatives.
  • Manage the County's risk management program, including workers' compensation and liability insurance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve employee engagement and retention.
  • Provide support and guidance to employees on employee relations issues, including conflicts and grievances.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on recruitment, selection, and hiring.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, department heads, and other stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to human resources, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and Worker's Compensation.
  • Ability to analyze data and make recommendations to improve human resources processes and policies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on collaboration and communication.
