YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO SUCCESS
Conduct thorough cost analysis and negotiations to secure the most favorable Total Cost of Acquisition (TCA), thereby aiding in the achievement of divisional cost-saving objectives.
Lead initiatives focused on cost reduction and resource allocation to support the execution of strategic goals, ensuring that any impacts on current supply chains are effectively managed.
Oversee sourcing activities and negotiations for a range of aerospace and industrial components, optimizing cost efficiencies, contract coverage, and ensuring continuity of supply.
Engage in contractual negotiations with both new and existing suppliers to minimize commercial risks and enhance commercial benefits for ongoing and future projects.
Foster strong partnerships with internal stakeholders to prioritize customer satisfaction and early engagement, showcasing exceptional negotiation capabilities.
Design and implement tailored business initiatives and performance metrics that align with the relevant commodity strategy and overall business objectives.
Negotiate contracts at local, regional, or multi-site levels, in collaboration with procurement managers or independently, covering aspects such as pricing, delivery timelines, and payment conditions.
Support and maintain supplier segmentation within the relevant supply base by actively representing customer perspectives in Commodity Circles.
Analyze local and regional market trends and their implications for commodity strategies.
Identify partner requirements and assist in the execution process, providing valuable input into the sourcing framework.
With guidance from Commodity leadership, monitor supplier performance and communicate with relevant stakeholders as necessary.
Generate, document, and implement cost-saving measures while tracking and reporting critical performance metrics. Drive early supplier involvement and cost-reduction initiatives, identifying procurement risks and opportunities, and implementing appropriate strategies.
Recognize potential contractual elements and collaborate with strategic commodity management to ensure these are incorporated into existing contracts or establish suitable agreements.
Collaborate with the commodity team to identify process improvements, contributing to their implementation and adherence on-site.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to thrive in a complex and dynamic global organizational environment.
8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or commodity management.
Exceptional Excel proficiency.
Experience working with a global supplier network in a matrixed environment.
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Strong commercial, contractual, and project management expertise.
Familiarity with component manufacturing processes and quality standards.
A bachelor's degree or qualifications such as CPM/CPSM are preferred.
