Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts fundamental mechanical assembly and subassembly tasks.
  • Performs leak testing as required.
  • Utilizes hand and power tools to execute assembly processes.
  • Interprets work instructions to guarantee precision in task execution.
  • Facilitates effective communication with management and team members on the production floor.
  • Engages in standard testing and minor troubleshooting activities.
  • Maintains quality standards throughout the assembly workflow.
  • Undertakes additional responsibilities as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a non-manufacturing setting is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with cable and harness assembly is advantageous.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and follow them accurately.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and proficiency in repetitive assembly tasks.
  • General knowledge of hand tools, portable power tools, and bench tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency and capability to operate software applications.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics is preferred.

Educational Background:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Completion of technician coursework or an AA technical degree is a plus.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a manufacturing or cleanroom environment.
  • Experience with helium leak testing and module inspection is a plus.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

  • Ability to perform physical tasks including stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Comfortable using ladders and working in a manufacturing or cleanroom setting.
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment as necessary.
  • Exposure to various environmental factors including noise and mechanical hazards.

Travel Requirements:

  • Occasional travel may be necessary for training and meetings.
