Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Assembly Technician II to contribute to our mission in a dynamic environment. This role is essential as we adapt to the rapid advancements in technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute basic mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
- Conduct leak testing as required.
- Utilize hand and power tools to finalize assemblies.
- Interpret work instructions to ensure precision in tasks.
- Foster effective communication with management and team members on the production floor.
- Perform standard testing and assist in minor troubleshooting.
- Maintain quality standards throughout the assembly process.
- Undertake additional duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a non-manufacturing setting is beneficial.
- Experience with cable and harness assembly is advantageous.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting written instructions.
- Basic mechanical skills and capability to perform repetitive assembly tasks.
- Familiarity with hand tools, portable power tools, and bench tools.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Effective communication skills and basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics is preferred.
Educational Background:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Completion of technician coursework or an AA technical degree is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a manufacturing or cleanroom environment.
- Experience in helium leak testing and module/subassembly inspection is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Capability to stand or sit for extended periods and use a ladder comfortably.
Work Environment:
- Work is conducted in a manufacturing and/or cleanroom setting, with necessary safety precautions in place.
