Role Overview:
The Senior Cybersecurity Solutions Architect plays a pivotal role in advancing the security mission of the organization.

This position is responsible for overseeing the engineering and architectural design of cybersecurity applications and systems, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.

The individual will manage the configuration, testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting of security systems to ensure they meet performance and operational requirements.


This role requires the Senior Cybersecurity Solutions Architect to collaborate with various departments, articulating the security posture and its importance in a manner that is accessible to all stakeholders.

The architect will be adept at creating documentation and delivering training on security architecture throughout the organization.


The ideal candidate will have significant experience in designing, deploying, and collaborating with various departments, as well as supporting enterprise-level firewall solutions from leading vendors.

The candidate should possess the ability to discuss and present technical concepts and architectural frameworks to business stakeholders, assess enterprise technologies with a focus on security and risk management, and outline strategies for mitigation.

Qualifications:

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience (Required)
Experience:
  • 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on the engineering and implementation of security controls, systems, and applications (Required)
Essential Skills:
  • Leadership in applying key cybersecurity practices, controls, and frameworks
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey complex risk-related concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience in implementing cybersecurity applications and systems, including network devices, firewalls, asset management tools, and access management systems
  • Proficiency in systems engineering principles, including requirements gathering, system design, testing, integration, and operational validation
  • Expertise in evaluating operational trade-offs in performance, functionality, cost, and efficiency
  • Experience in conducting performance measurement and analysis of cybersecurity and IT systems
Functional Responsibilities:
  • Lead initiatives to identify and enhance cybersecurity system performance
  • Oversee the operation, monitoring, and analysis of cybersecurity applications and systems
  • Direct the testing and deployment of cybersecurity systems, including firewalls and vulnerability management tools
  • Manage recovery actions following system failures
  • Curate essential reporting metrics related to cybersecurity systems.
