We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to supervise physical therapy assistants and lead our rehabilitation efforts. As a key member of our team, you will evaluate and assess consumers' physical and mental abilities, analyze medical data, and develop effective therapy strategies to promote optimal motor functioning and mobility.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Implement Minds Matter's philosophical principles in all aspects of service delivery, ensuring a holistic and person-directed approach to care.
  • Review, co-sign, and provide feedback on daily notes from assistant therapists, promoting a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Work closely with consumers to identify their needs, develop creative solutions, and offer alternatives for carrying out daily activities.
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations, analyzing medical data to determine the best methods and strategies for therapies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, daily notes, and letters of medical necessity.
  • Integrate employment, educational, and independent living goals into therapy, fostering a seamless and supportive experience for consumers.
  • Collaborate with consumer teams to monitor progress, address concerns, and make adjustments as needed.
  • Attend meetings, participate in goal setting, and work closely with other professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Provide education and training to families and caregivers on strategies and techniques, promoting a shared understanding of brain injury consequences and therapies.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices through ongoing training and workshops.
  • Maintain professional relationships with consumers, coworkers, referral agents, and community partners, promoting public relations and interagency collaborations.
  • Participate in agency and interagency task groups as requested, contributing to the development of effective care models and protocols.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Possess excellent teaching skills, enabling the effective transfer of knowledge and skills to individuals with disabilities.
  • Demonstrate strong supervisory and mentoring abilities, providing clear guidance, constructive feedback, and support to therapy assistants.
  • Show sensitivity, empathy, and professionalism when interacting with diverse populations.
  • Exhibit exceptional time management skills, juggling multiple tasks and responsibilities with ease.
  • Demonstrate creativity, flexibility, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Display excellent verbal and written communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration and information sharing.
  • Meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities, ensuring seamless workflow and productivity.
  • Maintain basic to moderate technology skills, leveraging iPads and electronic medical records systems to enhance care delivery.

Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year (dependent on location and experience). Note: This salary estimate is based on industry standards and may vary depending on factors such as location, experience, and qualifications.
