The Boeing Company is actively seeking a skilled Integral Fuel Cell Technician to become a vital member of our Joint and Installation team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and comprehend technical work instructions, schematics, and specifications.
  • Utilize a variety of chemical lubricants, solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints, and specialized finishes.
  • Employ computer systems effectively within a production setting.
  • Assemble and install components and structural elements to construct and attach major wing assemblies, including sealing and plumbing systems as well as electrical components.
  • Operate various hand tools, including drills and high-impact vibratory tools, alongside screwdrivers, lock bolt pullers, power screwdrivers, C-squeeze, ratchet wrenches, nut runners, torque wrenches, crimpers, and cable tools.
  • Conduct quality inspections of work and ensure the absence of Foreign Object Debris (FOD).
  • Manage mechanical lifts of different types, such as scissors lifts and elevated work platforms.
  • Work within confined spaces of wing fuel cells for extended durations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Continuous engagement in various physical activities including bending, kneeling, reaching, and standing.
  • Frequent exposure to constant noise in confined spaces.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull weights ranging from 10 to 35 pounds.
  • Continuous climbing, crawling, and crouching as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Capability to access and enter a wing fuel tank opening (approximately 18 inches by 10 inches).
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with handheld power tools.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience following both oral and written instructions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience in assembly or mechanical roles.
  • 1 year of experience operating heavy machinery.
  • 1 year of experience in aerospace, automotive, robotics, or a related field, including education and military experience.

Education:

High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required.

Additional Information:

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. Candidates must meet Export Control compliance requirements.

Compensation:

Pay is determined based on experience and qualifications, along with market considerations.
