Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to operate CIP (Clean in Place) systems, clean and maintain audit readiness in assigned areas, and other areas of the building.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean equipment, tanks, lines, pumps, pipes, floors, walls, and other areas using CIP systems and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Dismantle and reassemble hoses, connections, clamps, pumps, lines, or pipes, and clean according to SOPs.
  • Operate foaming equipment and high-pressure washing systems to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Visually inspect all parts of equipment for cleanliness and ensure compliance with GMP and Plant Safety guidelines.
  • Dispose of debris and water properly and prepare tanks, hoppers, kettles, piping, and other components necessary for processing or production needs.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as gasket replacement, ORing replacement, fill tube straightening, pump seals lubrication, and fitting replacement.
  • Handle cleaning chemicals according to MSDS and safe handling procedures, and test chemical concentrations in COP Systems, documenting results in titration records.
  • Cross-train in other Sanitation Department areas to ensure a comprehensive understanding of our operations.
  • Operate equipment in a safe manner, following GMP and Plant Safety guidelines, and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements:

  • High School or GED preferred.
  • 3 months of experience in a food manufacturing sanitation environment preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of chemicals, cleanliness, and odors.
  • Visual acuity needed for color-coded equipment for cleaning and chemicals.
  • Ability to associate with people in a professional manner.

Physical Requirements:

  • The associate must be able to lift, carry, and push/pull up to 50 pounds at a given time.
  • Exposure to extreme heat and temperature change, noise, vibration, dust, and ventilation.
  • Working in a wet and humid environment with exposure to vapors, fumes, odor, and other cleaning chemicals.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and walk frequently.
  • Bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling, and overhead reaching may be required.
