Position Overview
The Plant Financial Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of the manufacturing facility. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, this position is integral to the plant management team, ensuring adherence to financial directives through precise sales and financial forecasting, reporting, and analysis.

Key Responsibilities
1. **Cost Accounting Management**: Maintain and update the Cost Accounting system, ensuring accurate quotes and standards for all raw materials and finished products. Monitor work-in-progress (WIP) general ledger balances and reconcile them with the subledger.
2. **General Ledger Oversight**: Ensure compliance with accounting policies by maintaining the plant's General Ledger. Perform subledger reconciliations and maintain comprehensive records of all transactions and assets in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
3. **Budgeting and Forecasting**: Prepare and develop operating budgets and financial forecasts. Implement and uphold planning and control procedures, analyzing and reporting on variances.
4. **Financial Analysis**: Direct and coordinate the financial affairs of the facility, preparing financial analyses of operations, including interim and periodic financial statements with supporting schedules for management guidance.
5. **Sales Forecasting**: Lead the plant's weekly and monthly sales forecasting efforts.
6. **Capital Management**: Maintain a reporting system for fixed assets and capital expenditures. Conduct financial analyses of capital projects and prepare documentation for capital requests and ROI support.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in general accounting within a manufacturing environment.
- 6 to 12 years of experience in financial information compilation and analysis using spreadsheets and financial reporting software.
- Strong ability to work independently and provide effective financial leadership.
- Knowledge of business principles, legal practices, accounting standards, budgeting principles, and information systems.
- Capacity to handle sensitive information confidentially.

Physical Requirements
The role requires the ability to perform essential functions in a typical manufacturing environment, which may include:
- Heavy lifting and carrying.
- Reaching, kneeling, crawling, and climbing.
- Standing for extended periods.
- Visual acuity to read computer screens and documents.
- Hearing ability to communicate effectively.
