Job Summary

Brigham and Women's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant II to join our team. As a Medical Assistant II, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform administrative and clinical tasks to support the healthcare team, including scheduling appointments, preparing patients for exams, and collecting medical information.
  • Assist with medical procedures, such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and assisting with injections.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, test results, and treatment plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some post-secondary education or training in medical assisting preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical setting, preferably in a clinical or administrative role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs).
