Job SummaryWe're seeking a Co-op Prototype Mechanical Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative products, including Advanced Color ePaper, Prism, dynamic windows, and autonomous tiles. As a Co-op, you'll work on a range of special projects, driving customer demos, engineering samples, and testing for strategic integrators and partners.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop prototypes for customers to enable new market adoption
- Test and sample products for strategic integrators and partners
- Develop elements for marketing promotions, including trade shows and product showcases
- Set up the special projects lab
- Student enrolled in a Mechanical, Electrical, Process Engineering, or similar Engineering or Product Design Program
- GPA 3.0 or greater
- Proficient in CAD/CAM software
- Ability to document new processes for future use by manufacturing
- Self-starter, able to drive progress with minimum oversight
- Ability to manage challenging and often open-ended problems, work autonomously and in groups, and multi-task in an agile environment
- Excellent communication skills: visual, verbal, and written
- Experience with 3D modeling packages, especially AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS
- Electronics troubleshooting and designing circuits
- Iterative model making using rapid prototyping equipment
- Fabricating products with lasers and laminators
- Acquiring new skills and capabilities required for problem solving
- Medical coverage
- 8 hours of ITO (Intern time off) per payroll
