Job Title: Damage Prevention Specialist

Vannguard Utility Partners is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Damage Prevention Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our underground utility locating team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and integrity of our infrastructure.

Job Summary:

The Damage Prevention Specialist will be responsible for locating and marking underground utilities, including electric and gas utilities, telephone and other communication lines. This is a full-time position that requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Locate and mark underground utilities using specialized equipment and computer utility maps.
  • Drive a company vehicle to job sites and work independently in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Communicate effectively with excavation personnel and other stakeholders to ensure safe and efficient excavation practices.
  • Respond to after-hours emergency call-outs as needed.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work overtime and respond to emergency call-outs as needed.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software and equipment.

Work Environment:
