We are seeking a skilled Bagging Rail Operator to join our team at Ray-Mont Logistics. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for remotely controlling and operating trains for tasks such as switching, shunting, or moving trains along designated tracks.
Main Responsibilities- Train Operation: Handle the remote-control hopper car mover to position cars accurately for unloading.
- Alignment and Safety: Ensure proper alignment of cars in place for unloading and maintain a safe working environment.
- Communication: Maintain clear communication with the Bulk and Bagging Supervisor to understand the lineup and schedule for unloading cars.
- Documentation: Generate and maintain an accurate track list on the computer to keep track of car numbers and unloading status.
- Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of railcars upon receipt, identifying and reporting any damages or anomalies to ensure quality standards are upheld.
- Equipment Maintenance: Report any downtime or mechanical issues experienced with the equipment to the Bulk and Bagging Supervisor.
- Work Environment: Maintain cleanliness around the work area and equipment to ensure a safe and organized environment.
- Heavy Machinery Experience: Heavy machinery operating experience with forklifts and/or other machines.
- Attention to Safety: Attention to safely protocols.
- Communication Skills: Good communication, fast learner.
- Physical Demands: Ability to work physically and on your feet throughout the shift.
- Teamwork: Must have the ability to work well with others as part of a team.
- Adaptability: Must be prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Competitive Salary: Very competitive salary with annual raise and overtime paid starting at 40 hours.
