Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Marine Engineer to apply advanced marine engineering principles in conducting complex analyses and developing detailed designs for marine structures. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of multi-disciplinary environments and will work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert technical support for various marine projects, including dredging, shore protection, and marine equipment design.
  • Evaluate design modifications resulting from construction challenges and approve necessary documentation.
  • Assess nonconformance issues against original designs and recommend appropriate resolutions.
  • Engage with construction teams to address technical inquiries and participate in coordination meetings.
  • Support transportation and installation processes for modular marine structures.
  • Review and analyze existing design documents and inspection reports to ensure compliance and safety.
  • Offer guidance on structural analysis related to marine facilities.
  • Determine the suitability of marine structures for operational purposes.
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in structural or civil engineering from an accredited institution, with 12-13 years of relevant experience, or 24-25 years of equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree.
  • US citizenship is required.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  • Capability to obtain necessary security clearances for worksite access.
Essential Skills:
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required or must be obtained within 12 months.
  • A minimum of 13 years of experience in designing marine structures, including ports and terminals.
  • Experience with marine construction is essential.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as GTSTRUDL, STAAD Pro, and ANSYS.
  • Strong analytical abilities in structural and geotechnical design for marine applications.
  • Knowledge of structural dynamics and familiarity with international design codes.
