Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Fitter Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for aligning and fitting parts together using precision tools and equipment.

With over 2 years of experience in structural fitting, you will have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Your strong attention to detail and ability to manipulate tools and assembly components will enable you to perform the job efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and possess excellent problem-solving skills. You will be required to lift up to 40 pounds and work in a demanding, multi-task environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications using squares, rulers, and measuring tapes.
  • Tack-weld fitted parts together.
  • Align and fit parts according to specifications using jacks, turnbuckles, wedges, drift pins, pry bars, and hammers.
  • Study engineering drawings and blueprints to determine materials requirements and task sequences.
  • Hammer, chip, and grind work pieces to cut, bend, and straighten metal.
  • Smoth workpiece edges and fix taps, tubes, and valves.
  • Design and construct templates and fixtures using hand tools.
  • Work overtime as requested.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Over 2 years of experience in structural fitting.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, kneel, twist, pull, push, grip, and climb.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
