Our client, a leading player in the petrochemical industry, is seeking an experienced Principal Structural Engineering Specialist to lead their design team in Houston, Texas.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil/structural design with expertise in 3D CADWorx and Navisworks 3D software. A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in petrochemical/oil/gas design is required, with a focus on structural engineering for buildings, platforms, and pipe racks.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design team in developing innovative and efficient structural solutions for petrochemical projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution
- Develop and maintain high-quality designs that meet or exceed client expectations
- Conduct site visits and inspections as needed to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Mastery of 3D CADWorx and Navisworks 3D software
- Proven track record of delivering complex structural engineering projects on time and within budget
- Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., ASME, API, OSHA)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and direct team members
