Your Role

The Leasing Consultant plays a vital role in shaping the community's initial impression for both current and prospective residents. As a key sales representative, your primary responsibilities include warmly welcoming all visitors to the office. The Leasing Consultant will travel between various properties, showcasing the unique features and advantages of each community, while successfully securing lease agreements from qualified individuals. This role is centered around service excellence, ensuring that current residents feel valued and at home in their community. The Leasing Consultant recognizes that happy residents are more likely to renew their leases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to residents and prospective residents
  • Take pride in the apartment community; conduct visual inspections, address concerns, maintain cleanliness, and report maintenance needs
  • Prioritize safety by promptly addressing unsafe conditions
  • Maintain an organized workspace, even during peak times
  • Handle incoming phone inquiries appropriately
  • Build strong relationships with residents and prospective residents
  • Meet with prospective residents to assess their needs and preferences, present the community and specific apartments, and communicate features and benefits
  • Follow up with prospective residents
  • Coordinate move-in and move-out processes
  • Complete lease applications, verification, and documentation
  • Draft resident communications as needed
  • Update online listings
  • Stay informed about the local market and competition
  • Prepare daily and weekly reports
  • Ensure safety is a priority by addressing unsafe conditions promptly
  • Communicate effectively with residents, prospective residents, visitors, vendors, and team members while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Community Manager
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
  • Able to multitask and meet deadlines effectively
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
  • Familiarity with Yardi or similar industry software is preferred
  • Professional appearance
  • Ability to walk the property, including climbing stairs
  • Capable of bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, climbing stairs, pushing, pulling, reaching, carrying supplies, and standing for extended periods
