What will your responsibilities include?

• Provide clear communication and direction to team members

• Implement and execute steps to complete projects efficiently

• Perform duties as an operator and/or laborer

• Operate construction machinery such as dump trucks and skid loaders

• Establish daily production targets

• Conduct daily inspections

• Ensure compliance with DOT documentation

• Monitor and uphold all safety protocols and procedures

• Conduct weekly safety meetings

• Maintain and submit necessary reports

• Set up safety perimeters using signage, cones, and barriers, and occasionally flag traffic

• Perform other assigned duties as necessary

‎ :

Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a similar role with a focus on team leadership is essential

• Experience in the telecommunications field is preferred but not mandatory

• Ability to read blueprints and interpret utility maps to identify underground utilities

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and respectful direction

• Proficient in using locators to safely identify utilities

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

• Highly safety-conscious

• Effective communication skills with crew members, clients, and vendors

• Basic computer skills required; familiarity with Google applications is a plus

• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required

• Unrestricted Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement is advantageous (higher wage scale applies to CDL holders)

• Availability for overtime, after-hours, weekends, and on-call duties as needed

• Travel may be necessary.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to climb ladders, machinery, and other structures

• Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs as needed, with or without assistance


The duties of this position will require the employee to stand, crouch, sit, bend, and use hands and fingers for handling or feeling, as well as reaching with hands and arms to various heights.

The employee will be engaged in standing, walking, climbing, balancing, crawling, crouching, lifting, holding, or stooping during their shift

• Specific vision abilities required for this role include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus as necessary

• Employees in this role may be exposed to dust, fumes, or other airborne pathogens

• Exposure to toxic or corrosive chemicals, as well as moving machinery parts, may occur

• Remote work may be necessary; long periods of driving and sitting will be required

• The noise level in the work environment for this position is moderate

• All work is conducted outdoors, so employees in this role are regularly exposed to various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold, rain, snow, sleet, and dust, as well as adverse driving conditions such as wet and icy roads.
