Position Overview:

The Chittenden Solid Waste District, recognized for its excellence in municipal waste management, is on the lookout for a Compliance and Safety Coordinator. This role involves overseeing adherence to the solid waste management regulations and managing the organization's safety initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor compliance with solid waste management policies.
  • Implement and oversee safety protocols within the organization.
  • Supervise and guide team members in safety practices.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and organized individual with strong analytical skills. A Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Environmental Science, Environmental Law or Engineering, Occupational Safety & Health, or a related discipline is required. Additionally, candidates should possess a minimum of five years of relevant experience in safety and compliance, along with a solid understanding of applicable regulations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


Supervision:
This position includes the supervision of one staff member.

Compensation:
The starting salary ranges from $77,700 to $91,700, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
