Diesel Technician Position

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team at Ryder in Forest Park, Georgia. As a Senior Level Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy duty vehicles.
Responsibilities:
- Perform standard vehicle maintenance and preventive maintenance tasks
- Diagnose complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer tools
- Complete detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
- Replace defective components as instructed
- Work unsupervised on most tasks and interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred
- Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
- Three years or more relevant work experience preferred
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
