Schouest, Bamdas, Soshea, BenMaier & Eastham PLLC is a rapidly growing defense law firm with offices in key locations across the United States. We are seeking highly motivated and talented associates to join our team.

About the Role

We are looking for recent law graduates or experienced attorneys who are eager to develop their skills in defense law. As an associate attorney, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of cases, including Defense Base Act claims, and gain valuable experience in the field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation and presentation of cases, including drafting petitions and communications with clients and opposing counsel.
  • Review and analyze claims documents, including medical records, incident reports, and employment files.
  • Conduct legal research and provide analysis on complex legal issues.
  • Participate in conferences with the Department of Labor to address issues related to the resolution of files.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to ensure seamless case management.
Requirements
  • Valid law license (or awaiting bar results).
  • Ability to bill 165 hours per month (1980 hours annually).
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
