Job Summary:

Vail Resorts, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Ticket Checker. As a key member of our resort operations team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, ensuring the smooth operation of our lifts, and maintaining a safe and secure environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver premium guest service: Provide information and assistance to guests with a smile, ensuring their experience is memorable and enjoyable.
  • Validate tickets and ensure lift safety: Verify that guests have valid tickets and products before loading the lifts, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all.
  • Collaborate with other teams: Work cooperatively with other teams to manage lift lines, ensure efficient lift loading, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain departmental equipment: Secure and maintain departmental equipment, such as scan devices and radios, to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Escalate issues: Promptly escalate any safety or product issues to leadership, ensuring that all concerns are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to effectively communicate with guests, colleagues, and leadership.
  • Attention to detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate ticket validation and lift safety.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment: Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Physical stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift light equipment, and move quickly in a mountain environment.
